What PEWC is
PEWC is the Pro Elite World Challenge, a barrel racing association run by Amber Webber out of Hinckley, Minnesota. It is a separate organization from MPBA with its own membership.
The Finals is where the two meet. MPBA runs the pole bending, PEWC runs the barrels, and riders haul for both. That is why the $20,000 bonus sidepot is for PEWC members and not MPBA members. The two memberships are bought separately and run on different calendars: MPBA runs November 1 to October 31, PEWC runs January 1 to December 31.
